“My brother Nijazim was kidnapped from the train in Strpci 17 years ago, and then murdered. His only crime was his name. The Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY) did a lot to enable the kidnappings and crimes in Sandzak to occur. There is evidence that the Republika Srpska Army gave weapons and tools and the FRY gave logistic support for the crimes in Strpci and Mioce. The new governments and states did nothing about the crimes in Sandzak during all these years. Only the Prijepolje Municipality erected a memorial for the victims of the crime in Strpci, but only for the nine people from Prijepolje. They did not have the strength to do it for all 19 kidnapped and murdered people”, said Nail Kajevic from Prijepolje, the representative of families of the victims in Strpci at the beginning of the discussion “War crimes in Serbia — the Sandzak case” on 3 March at the Belgrade Media Center. »»
