Five young people from Serbia and Kosovo have visited Sarajevo within Visiting program. Young people had the opportunity to visit several non-governmental and youth organizations, some media and research organizations and also Tunnel that was the only way out of Sarajevo, during the four-year siege of the town during the war. »»

The Youth Initiative for Human Rights (YIHR) is pleased to announce an open competition for the War Crimes Law Internship Programme (WCLI). The WCLI programme grants graduate students, and undergraduate students who are in their final stages of education, an opportunity to partake in an internship in the unique environment at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, at the Office of the War Crimes Prosecutor or to the War Crimes Chamber in Belgrade and at the documentation centres and victims associations in Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina or Croatia, offering the chance to enhance their knowledge and expertise in a professional setting. »»

PRISHITNA - On November 30th, the Youth Initiative for Human Rights in cooperation with the Association of Kosovo’s Professional Journalists organized one-day regional civil society consultations on Access to Official Information. The event was supported by the UNDP and OSCE Missions in Kosovo and was attended by representatives from civil society organizations from Kosovo, Serbia, Bosnia and Albania. »»

The Foundation was established by activists gathered around the Youth Initiative for Human Rights throughout the Balkan region. The aim of this endeavor is to strengthen the youth capacities on the local level, to support the progressive individuals and organizations in their strivings to reform the societies of the former Yugoslavia, and to strengthen local philanthropy of the youth and their regional cooperation. »»
